FCRA Credit Pull Authorization Terms
By continuing, I authorize Karoo Holdings, Inc. ('Karoo') and its service providers to obtain a consumer report on me from a consumer reporting agency. I acknowledge that Karoo may use the credit report for any lawful purpose under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), including: (a) authenticating my identity; (b) making credit decisions; (c) obtaining a credit score; and (d) Karoo's own internal modeling. I also agree that Karoo may use this authorization to obtain a credit report in connection with any updates, renewals, or modifications of any credit I receive as a result of this loan application. Karoo may also, no more than 5 times per month, use this authorization to obtain a credit report for the purpose of marketing new products or services to me (such as pre-qualified credit offers).
I understand that the authorization to receive pre-qualified credit offers will remain in effect for one year after providing my consent or after the loan has been fully repaid, whichever is longer, unless I revoke it sooner. I understand that any inquiries associated with such offers are soft credit inquiries and will not affect my credit score. A separate, hard inquiry, which may impact my credit score and can be viewed by third parties, will occur if I submit a credit application. I also have the right to opt out of receiving these offers or revoke this authorization at any time by contacting us as directed below.
Upon request, Karoo will provide me with information about whether a consumer report was requested and, if so, the name and address of the consumer reporting agency that furnished the report. By continuing, I acknowledge that I have read and understood the above authorization and my rights regarding consumer reports and prescreened credit offers.
If I believe that you have information about me that is inaccurate or that you have reported or may report inaccurate information about me to a credit bureau, I will notify Karoo of the specific information that I believe is inaccurate by writing to care of Karoo, 251 Little Falls Dr, Wilmington, DE 19808 or contact@karoo.loans. In doing so, I will identify the inaccurate information and explain why I believe it is incorrect. If I have a copy of the credit report that includes the inaccurate information, I will send a copy of that report along with my dispute.
